Why is my hair getting caught in my gel stickers?Updated 3 months ago
If hair gets caught under your gel nail sticker near the cuticle, here are some possible reasons and how to fix them:
Improper nail prep: Make sure to buff the entire nail surface and edges, then wipe with an alcohol pad to remove oils. This helps the gel sticker stick properly.
Incorrect size: Never use a gel nail sticker that's too big — it can lift at the sides. Use a smaller size if needed and gently stretch it for a better fit.
Edges not sealed: Always press down all edges firmly, especially around the cuticle and tips. Use the provided cuticle stick to smooth out air bubbles and ensure full contact.
Natural nail shape: Since nails are naturally curved, press and hold the sticker down while curing to help it harden to your nail’s shape and reduce edge lifting.
Incomplete sealing: If edges still lift, apply our PINX Extension Gel or any gel top coat to fully seal the strip.
💡Pro tip: Avoid water and physical activity for at least 2 hours after application to let the sticker bond securely.
